the introductions thread! 👋

Hi everybody, thanks for the invitation to this forum. My name is Claudio, I’m still waiting to receive my r1 that should be delivered to me very soon. I believe I have ordered the 2nd batch. I bought it straight away after reading an article mentioning the launch of r1 during a convention. Your marketing message was very catching, but I need to test by myself now how r1 really is, what can do and how it can improve what I am doing. I am eager to try it. In the meantime, I want to thank you for the free annual subscription to Perplexity.ai which was very appreciated. So, thank you again. I’ll keep an eye on the forum chat and if you need anything from me just send me a DM. Cheers

Hello, howdy, and hola!

It’s a pleasure to be here; I go by Jeph. Historically, I am a habitual lurker but I will try to contribute as best I can.

First love was trombone. Bass Guitar/Banjo/Vox. I love making things, punkrockmusic, writing, reading, and starting video games.

Hi all. My name is Pip, based in the UK. I’m a seasoned technologist, having started work in 1978 on PDP-8/11s and IBM/360s (old, old, old). As you can imagine, I’ve seen a few changes!

In the 1980’s I was ‘hobbying’ with natural language parsing, I think on an Intel 80286. I worked in Knowledge Engineering in the 1990’s (before that fell by the wayside), I’m currently working on internal AI projects for a consultancy firm, amongst other things.

Computer history is my mainstream hobby: I don’t have a huge collection of old PCs/games machines (I have a few bits and pieces), but I do have a collection of works by the likes of Babbage and Turing. Still very nerdy though!

It’s been exciting times in AI these last couple of years. I’ve no idea what I’ll use my R1 for other than to see how it develops: it’s definitely part of my computing history collection.

Hi I’m Jase from the UK.
I’m here for the tech, but have a background in sound engineering and electronic engineering. Im old enough to have watched studios move from analogue tech to digital.

Love music, played bass in a few bands, own a few synths, enjoy gaming (modern and retro).

In recent years I have been involved in testing and breaking some of the new NHS systems that have been rolled out to various arms in healthcare for England.

Hello my name is Cat!

I have been in the R1 Community for a bit and am eager to see what new concepts and features we can think of, and where we will be in a few years.

I am interested in 3D Printing/Modeling and plan to make new designs and models to share/sell with the community.

I am also intending on working on Open Source Projects to add to the expanding repertoire of the Rabbit R1.

Hi everyone, I’m Kayvan. A Tech Leader and professional software developer for over 30 years. I love the idea of Rabbit so I bought two (one for me and one for my wife). I am eagerly waiting for the Rabbit’s capabilities to evolve to the point of the intro video (that was clearly an early beta)!

In particular, I really want to see a working Learning Mode and better overall capabilities.

Thanks for visiting the rabbit forum!

I’ll start!

I’m Alex Hent, a DJ, producer, event organiser, and independent journalist based in Amsterdam, originally from Transylvania. As an early adopter and supporter of r1, I’m passionate about exploring new tech and its applications in music events, daily tasks, and the online world.

I have a deep love for techno, house, and electronic music - some of my favorite artists include Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin, John Digweed, Sasha, and Hernan Cattaneo. When I’m not spinning tracks or organizing events, I enjoy photography, video production, and diving into the latest AI developments. I’m also embarking on a new venture with Techno Gift Shop, an e-commerce site dedicated to techno music fans.

In my downtime, I love immersing myself in philosophy, exploring new tech gadgets, and playing around with Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and DaVinci Resolve. Looking forward to connecting with all of you!
