Emotional now! I’ve been cheering this device on for months. But I can’t even have a simple coherent Q&A with R1 without it just completely hallucinating and going way off the rails. R1 is unaware of its connections, it can’t recall two conversational points back in history, and it fails to provide the simplest of status updates.

I just powered my R1 down out of pure anger!!! Mad and frustrated at Rabbit for creating something that suffers from early onset dementia.

Beta rabbit is the beta version of the rabbit they are using and maybe in the future the default rabbit AI it still uses other AI and information but is far more detailed information given. Just press the button and say: beta rabbit and ask the question while still holding the button. It also has follow up questions facility

This will eventually be the version it uses - it was a recent development hence beta and will become default once ir reaches a good stage in development. Note for integrations only the current default works. (As in, beta rabbit play X on Spotify - won’t work)

First of all, I’m using beta rabbit and Perplexity for all queries and they are spot on. I’m a paid customer of Claude, ChatGPT and through the Rabbit offer Perplexity and this is exactly the same quality. If you follow this forum (which you obviously do) you should know about beta rabbit and the weekly updates. And for those who think adding two words to your query (“beta rabbit” or “ask perplexity”) are too much of a nuisance… Are you serious?
PS For those who think I’m a blind Rabbit fanboy, I’m not. Apple Music is not working for me (EU), imperial system and Fahrenheit as standard is annoying as hell, no LAM yet. So no, this device is far from perfect. But what it does damn good is translation, answering all my questions (beta rabbit or perplexity) with a push of a button in the same quality as the big three LLMs do and I credit the team behind Rabbit trying to improve the device step by step every week. It’s a long way to go but at least they are trying. And maybe someday in the (not so far) future we get another hello games’ “No man’s sky” success story… Sorry, now I’ve got emotional…

Yes I agree, the teenage rabbit team programmers released this devive too early for the public who are used to the smart phone ease of use without any technical problems.
I guess in a couple of years the rabbit team will finally have their act together, by then it could be to late to many customers lost in from bad reviews. …I’m staying around with Rabbit r1 to see if the device gets better? …Cheers …Rick

I just wanted to add that the Beta Rabbit Feature is something that was announced to everyone. As someone who is most likely in the Discord and obviously the forum you should probably be more aware of the updates and changes that are made to this device since you would like to use this device. There are plenty of things that need worked on but it would be nice if people could do a little more due diligence on their own.

I appreciate your response. As anyone following this community and using R1 daily, I never heard about beta rabbit until responses to this post. As someone who forked up money for the r1 and has been cheering this device on since day-one, and simply proceeds to live life normally (not obsessively glued to these user threads), please bare with me for reacting like a normal person.
r1 should welcome the feedback.

Beta rabbit keeps failing to generate music over the Suno connections. It keeps generating lyrics, or telling me it can’t use Suno. Everything is connected. It’s really frustrating.
Sadly beta rabbit can’t improve accuracy over connections since it has no access to connections.
beta rabbit is consistently fails to recall notes with specific titles.
I appreciate your assistance so much. I have given beta rabbit a shot and it’s not performing as I’d hoped. It doesn’t connect to services yet and consistently fails to recall notes. Today beta rabbit actually raised some alarm advising me someone may’ve breeched my rabbithole. I hope it’s a false alarm, but it’s all due to the failure of beta rabbit to coherently remember anything two phrases back. Thanks
I have not personally ever had an issue with Suno, but that definitely does not sound like fun 
Beta Rabbit is currently in a Beta state and does not have any of the connections available to it at the moment. I would imagine in the next few updates we will see Beta Rabbit adopted as the new default. So really Beta Rabbit should only be used for non connection related prompts, and regular rabbit should be called for any other prompts at the moment. I will say that wording is everything at the moment, and sometimes just wording something slightly differently can net you the results you are looking for when having issues.I hope this helps at least a little bit!
