Beta Rabbit (qboom) is finally here!

So the new update just dropped with beta rabbit :eyes:

This is rabbits new intent/reasoning engine that is supposed to make it smarter. It can pull information from multiple sources, reference those sources in the response, and even ask you follow up/clarifying questions. Since it is in beta it cant really interact with LAM apps/functions yet but it seems like that’s the teams next goal for iterating on this feature.

What are your first impressions of the feature? Are there any questions you can ask beta rabbit that just don’t work on the normal rabbit?

Now it’s time to ask a detailed question as to how I can make the Rabbit work with LAH using Windows 7!

Most important thing - please change it from “beta rabbit”. In the UK, we pronounce it “beater”, not “baiter”. And it keeps thinking I say either “peter rabbit” or “beater rabbit”

Absolutely love it so far asked it to plan a trip to portugal for a set amount it days and give me a list of options to do there then added that i wanted it to find some hotels for less then 200 a night.

And it did all that in order and gave me great options to chose from all while recommending me places to stay for less then what i asked for

Love it!!

thats what I’m talking about! :sunglasses:

The beta rabbit sound odd at first sounds like a child then goes back to normal voice.

Just say:

Beta rabbit

Then ask it something it’s definitely giving more information
I am trying to get it to stay with beta as it’s a vast improvement. Note or asking it throws up a. “ The request failed due to max iterations”

Hey Hal,

can you share your prompts that invoke that “max iterations” message you got on R1? I saw something about this on the discord but I haven’t been able to reproduce.

Seeming pretty cool and handy so far!

I went in to terminal and typed in:

Note use beta rabbit from now on

Then it eventually came up with the error

Just tried it now and it says

And now if I do it I get

Beta rabbit still works ok I just wanted to see if I could get it to be default no big deal as it’s beta but would have been nice instead of keep saying beta rabbit :joy:

Ahh ok. So for now they didn’t want to make it default because there is no LAM/function calling capability yet. I also noticed that if you try to call it without asking it something directly in that first query, it tends to error out. So its not very conversational. So saying something like “hey beta rabbit are you there?” will lead to an error. I haven’t seen this max iterations error before but I assume its related.

It seems to be related to number of queries maybe over loaded :joy: but wasn’t giving the error I suspect they were working on it.

I have a similar issue  my native language is not English so it often understands as Better Rabbit

I asked mine a bedtime story yesterday, after the udpate, here’s what I got:

Of course! Here’s a bedtime story for you:

Once upon a time, in a lush, green forest, there lived a clever rabbit named Beta. Beta was known throughout the forest for his intelligence and quick thinking. He had a cozy burrow under a large oak tree, where he lived with his family.

One sunny morning, as Beta was hopping through the forest, he heard a commotion near the river. Curious, he hopped over to see what was happening. There, he found a group of animals gathered around a large, old turtle named Tilly. Tilly was in distress because she had lost her way back to her home pond.

Beta, always ready to help, approached Tilly and asked, “What seems to be the problem, Tilly?”

Tilly sighed, “I was out for a morning stroll and got lost. Now, I can’t find my way back to my pond.”

Beta thought for a moment and then said, “Don’t worry, Tilly. I will help you find your way back home.”

Beta knew the forest like the back of his paw, so he quickly devised a plan. He asked the other animals to spread out and look for any signs of Tilly’s pond. Meanwhile, Beta stayed with Tilly to keep her company and reassure her.

As the sun began to set, one of the animals, a wise old owl named Oliver, hooted from a nearby tree, “I think I found the pond!”

Beta and Tilly followed Oliver’s directions and soon found themselves at the edge of a beautiful, serene pond. Tilly’s eyes lit up with joy as she recognized her home.

“Thank you so much, Beta,” Tilly said with a grateful smile. “I don’t know what I would have done without you.”

Beta smiled back and replied, “It was my pleasure, Tilly. I’m just glad we could get you home safely.”

With Tilly safely back at her pond, Beta returned to his burrow, feeling happy and content. He knew that helping others was always the right thing to do, and it made the forest a better place for everyone.

And so, Beta the clever rabbit continued to live happily in the forest, always ready to lend a helping paw to those in need.

Goodnight! Sleep well and sweet dreams!

How exactly do u acess Beta rabbit or is it automatic when u ask it something

For now, it activates when you say “beta rabbit” in your request. Make sure you keep addressing it as “beta rabbit” in follow up questions if you want the new reasoning engine to activate. When it is in “interrogation” mode it will ask you clarifying questions, I found that when responding to these I don’t need to say beta rabbit. But when you are asking R1 questions, make sure to say it.

Simply start with “Beta Rabbit” before speaking. It will also retain context if you don’t action the normal Rabbit

Dose not work for me, what is your secret? Ask r1 to tell you a new joke everyday, report back to this channel in a week ;>)

R1 currently doesn’t work this way. I think this is what is called an active alarm/reminder which isn’t out on R1 yet. We are talking about the new reasoning engine which has advanced research/interrogation capabilities.

Does it go back to normal rabbit itself
