Took photos on hiking trail where are the photos?

went hiking two days ago and my rabbit is wi-fi only…however i still took pictures of a waterfall hoping that the rabbit would store the photos then upload them to rabbit hole once i got back to wi-fi….where can i find the photos? or are they not saved. Ive also connected via usb-c to my ipad and the rabbit does not show up as storage. anybody have a suggestion? know what does and does not work? I do suggest that the rabbit have a camera roll ability if i were to say “rabbit open pictures” or “rabbit delete all pictures uploaded to rabbit hole automatically”

As far as i know pictures are not stored locally yet - so unfortunately they might be indeed lost.

Still hope someone has a more positive answer for you

Hi @Artsinovergrowth - Unfortunately, as noted above, r1 currently has no offline capabilities, so if it can’t upload those photos, they sadly will have disappeared into the ether :frowning:

Although it won’t help for now - I can tell you that adding in offline capabilities such as local photo storage is absolutely something on our short-to-mid term roadmap, and we hope to be able to share an update on this soon.

In the meantime - it may be worth getting a data SIM to put in your r1 (it doesn’t use much data, so you can get pretty cheap ones!) or connecting to your phone hotspot next time you’re out and about!

Oh yes! So many good pictures got lost because my phone’s hotspot was unstable. It would be fantastic if you would add offline capabilities such as local photo storage.

I take mine out all over using sim in r1 not had any problem. The sim I use is different network to the phone. So if one is a bit of a let down I can always use the other

I have a SIM in, but there are still plenty of places that I haven’t had service and lost photos that I have tried to take. Local storage of these would be amazing!!

Similarly, it would be nice if there was an option to reprocess any photos that might have been uploaded but didn’t get Magic Camera processed. (I understand if that should be mentioned in another thread, but just saying)
