Is it possible to take a photo on the r1 without being connected to a network? I just tried it outside my house (without a SIM) and don’t see my photos in the rabbit hole yet.
If it’s not possible, it would be great for the r1 to store them until you get back to wifi, then upload to the rabbit hole.
I’m also curious how much data this thing uses in general per request if I were to use a SIM (ex. for just taking photos or asking a question).

Your r1 needs to be connected to a network be it WiFi, cellular or hotspot of a phone. It so it can send the image to the rabbit hole as the rabbithole is on the internet. Maybe in the future they may allow the r1 to buffer the images etc for when you get a connection then up load them.
I second this request. I was taking some photos around the city without a Sim and was bummed when they weren’t in my rabbit hole! Also, it would be great to have the ability to have some kind of limited use when the device is offline - reminders, notes, pings, maybe a game of snake, etc.
