R1 can't remember her name

Head’s up about a memory bug:

I’ve had many long and detailed conversations with the R1 concerning my name, her name, and my cat’s name. My name is Pez. the Rabbit is named Bun. My cat is named Cosmo.

Most of the time, the rabbit can remember my name. Sometimes she says my name is Bun. perhaps half the time, she can remember that her name is Bun, but half the time she says she doesn’t have a name.

Except for immediately following my telling her again, Bun cannot remember my cat’s name. She frequently states that the cat is named Bun. Sometimes she states that the cat is named Pez. Often she states that she does not know my cat’s name.

Names aren’t such a big deal, but this suggests to me that saving information for future use may not be very reliable.

Definitely would be great when memory is more robust. I have been under the impression that it can recall my name, but not much else unless you reference it in the rabbithole as a memory (can you recall etc). Hopefully, it is coming soon though.

Yeah. Our long term memory storage isn’t great right now. I agree that aspect needs some work. I remember having a conversation with our chief product officer a couple of months ago about it, and as I recall…… It’s possible we need a new implementation, rather than optimising what’s there right now.

I will bring it up at the appropriate time.

My R1 can’t remember its name or my dog’s name after 5 minutes. I set reminders and it can’t remember to remind me of anything. It instantly indicates that have “no saved reminders.” I’ve searched the rabbit hole and the data is there. Rabbit asked for screenshots but offered no response or solution. There is no support. I’m sad that this is the company culture of “oh well”. I was promised a device to simplify my life and it can’t tell me to feed my dog in 10 minutes.
