Permanent translation-mode?

I still have one for today! What do you think if there was a permanent translation mode?

What I mean is that when you start the translation-mode, r1 would not wait for the PTT button, for example (if you simply put r1 on a surface with the speaker facing upwards), but would instead rely on the volume to translate from language A to language B.

This would significantly improve comfort, because you could then simply put r1 on the table in front of you, for example, and r1 would then simply translate while you could talk to your conversation partner.

This could be activated, for example, by putting r1 on the table with the side of the display facing down.

In any case, that would be very intuitive.

That is what the the r1 should do in basic mode, to stand apart :sunglasses:

I second this.
It would be easy to press the PTT once after you tell r1 to enter translation mode to start and then once you are finished with the conversation press PTT again to stop.

Then if you want to continue the conversation press PTT to start/stop again.

To exit simply hold PTT and ask r1 to exit translation mode.

Like this? :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

edit: I used translation mode to get that translation, and just checked it… seems like it’s kind of nonsense. It was supposed to say “Ready to see some magic?”
