It seems essential to me to create use cases to highlight the true potential of the Rabbit. The latest shitstorm derives from the poor initial usability of the platform, despite the continuous weekly updates that constantly improve it. The main potential, yet a problem, remains its great innovativeness.
To counter the criticism and discouragement of the majority of users, it is essential that some of us, more geeky and creative, create use cases, which should demonstrate the innovativeness and usability of the Rabbit R1. This is what is missing: practical and effective use examples for camera recognition tasks, voice content creation or virtual assistant functionality.
Working use cases must be developed and the steps necessary to illustrate them identified. Only in this way will people be able to understand how to best use our beloved bunny.
If you find this idea useful, it could be created a new “Use cases” category in the community.
Check out this post; it’s also an editable Wiki table, so anyone can write their own use case.
In this other post we can find some top use cases for using R1:
I think it would be a great idea to identify as many use case categories as possible.
For now, these are the categories:
Search
Learn
Games
Summary
When enough categories have been identified, we could re-organize the wiki by a list of categories and have each one have its own table, so users can continue adding more use cases in an orderly manner.
Many thanks for pointing out the two posts. Maybe after some time we’ve collected a good number of use cases we can share a more structured wiki, to serve as a solid learning/using knowledge base.
I totally agree that we need to create practical use cases to demonstrate the true potential of the Rabbit R1. Given the current challenges with initial usability, despite continuous improvements, showcasing its capabilities through well-defined use cases can help users understand and leverage its innovative features.

If you find these categories useful, we can further develop use cases under each category, subcategory and subsubcategory (goals) and its correspondant prompts. This structured approach will help users understand and utilize the Rabbit R1’s capabilities more effectively so we can add it to the Wiki.
What do you all think? Any additional suggestions or categories we might have missed? I put this elements as checkboxes so we can ensure with ease that we have this tested to be working at the moment in the Rabbit R1 and is added to the Wiki properly with its associated prompts.
@Afaces great great work! I think your checklist is very very detailed and yes, I agree to a sort of call to action for all the r1 users to contribute to the cases list. Still, I’m wondering how to make the showusecases easily consultable and browsable to the community as it grows, more than the however very useful editable table by @flash. Maybe using Airtable?
I’ve been thinking about how we can best showcase the true potential of the Rabbit R1 and tackle some of the usability challenges. Creating practical use cases is key, and I believe a collaborative approach is the way to go. Here’s a structured plan to get us started:
Creating a Dedicated “Use Cases” Category
Steps to Implement:
Create a “Use Cases” Category in the Forum:
This will be our central hub for all use case discussions.
Sub-Threads for Each Main Category:
For better organization, we’ll have separate threads for each main category like Voice Content Creation, Virtual Assistant, Camera Recognition, etc.
Wiki-Style Format in Each Thread:
Community members can:
Add new use cases.
Tick checkboxes for tested/working features.
Include specific prompts that work.
Add notes or tips.
Main Index Thread:
This thread will link to all the category threads for easy navigation.
Periodic Compilation:
Every month, we could compile the most useful and verified use cases into a more polished wiki or guide.
Using Airtable for Organization:
Consider using Airtable for a searchable database of use cases that’s easy to update, as @IronRinn suggested.
Benefits of This Approach:
Collaborative Input from the Community:
Everyone can contribute their experiences and insights.
Easy Updating:
As new features are added, the community can update the threads easily.
Clear Organization by Category:
Helps users find relevant information quickly.
Tracking Tested/Verified Features:
Checkboxes in the threads will show what’s been tested and works.
Flexibility to Expand:
As more users contribute, we can expand the categories and subcategories as needed.
Proposed Categories and Structure:
We’ll start with the categories and structure outlined previously and allow it to evolve as more users contribute. Here’s a quick recap of the categories:
Voice Content Creation
Virtual Assistant
Camera Recognition
Search
Learning
Entertainment
Productivity
Work Companion
Special Needs
Travel
Language Practice
Summary
Health & Wellness
Smart Home Control
Communication
Finance
Media Management
Shopping Assistance
News & Updates
Customization
Accessibility
Safety & Security
Home Management
Educational Tutoring
Community & Social
Environmental Monitoring
Emergency Assistance
Hobbies & Interests
Financial Advice
Next Steps:
Create the “Use Cases” Category and Sub-Threads:
@simon, could you help set up the new category and create the initial threads for each main category?
Set Up Airtable:
We need a few volunteers to help set up the Airtable structure. Each table should correspond to a use case category, with fields for prompts, expected outcomes, actual outcomes, and notes.
Community Call to Action:
Let’s draft a call to action for the community, explaining how they can contribute to the Wiki and Airtable, and how this effort will improve the Rabbit R1 platform.
Monthly Compilation Team:
Establish a team to review the entries in Airtable and the forum threads monthly to update the main Wiki.
Call to Action:
Volunteers for setting up Airtable and Wiki categories, please speak up! Any additional suggestions or thoughts on this approach?
Together, we can unlock the full potential of the Rabbit R1 and create a valuable resource for our community. Let’s make it happen!
What do you all think about this approach? I’m more than open to refining it based on feedback from you and the community.
PS: Sorry for the long post, folks… Let’s make it worth it!
You’re right, Rabbit R1 has the potential for more use case categories beyond your initial list. Here are some additional categories it might cover, based on its current functionalities:
Productivity and Organization:
Task Management: Create to-do lists, set reminders, manage schedules.
Note Taking: Capture ideas, voice recordings, meeting summaries with AI assistance.
Food Delivery (Limited Availability): Order food through connected services like DoorDash (under testing in some regions).
Ridesharing (Limited Availability): Book rides through connected services like Uber (under testing in some regions).
Remember, these are just potential functionalities based on current information. Rabbit R1 is constantly evolving, and future updates could introduce new categories or enhance existing ones.
@Afaces sounds really good! Thank you so much for developing a comprehensive operational proposal, it is an effort to which many of us can contribute. It is essential to continue this project, because it will be of great help to the technical team itself to identify the strengths and acquire feedbacks.
It works great for me, even Suno. But it’s worth mentioning that I had problems with Suno last week, I kept retrying saying the same prompt at different moments throughout the day, and it never worked, until I just decided to restart my r1. After that restart, everything worked fine again.
Let’s Identify the Current State-of-the-Art Use Cases for Rabbit R1
Following our discussions on creating practical use cases for the Rabbit R1, I believe it’s crucial to also identify the existing functionalities that are already state-of-the-art. By highlighting these, we can help users quickly see the immediate benefits and capabilities of the Rabbit R1 without needing additional developer intervention.
Why is this important?
Showcase Immediate Benefits: Users can understand what they can do with the Rabbit R1 right now.
Boost Engagement: Highlighting ready-to-use features can increase user satisfaction and engagement.
Guide New Users: It can serve as a practical guide for new users to explore and utilize the device effectively.
What We Need:

Suggest and Validate: If you think a use case might be state-of-the-art but haven’t tested it yet, mention it, and we can collectively validate its functionality.
Your Turn!
Please contribute by:
Adding More Use Cases: Mention any additional state-of-the-art functionalities you know of.
Verifying Use Cases: Confirm the functionality of the listed use cases.
Providing Feedback: Suggest improvements or new categories if needed.
Thank you for helping make Rabbit R1 the best it can be!
@Afaces thank you again for your strong operative suggestions, they’re very effective to point out the road to build more trust in Rabbit r1.
We can all contribute to these actions, and I strongly agree with you that we must start mainly by confirming the state-of-the-art functionalities, providing effective examples, as well as the most interesting and unexploited use cases we all are listing in the wiki table.
Moreover, I think that it’s really useful to emphasize some good hacking practices that highlight the flexibility of Rabbit r1 ecosystem, such as the brilliant one pointed out by @TheOneRonG to hack the Magic Camera with a text prompt.
Not sure if this is where I should share this, but I’m writing a novel, and just realized that I can use my r1 as an instant research tool (e.g., what year was a specific statue acquired by the Louvre, how long would it take to drive from one city to another, suggest a unique Irish name for a female character). Works like a charm, and I can save my research into rabbit hole notes for access later. I separately have a running note where r1 has suggested top novel-writing YouTubers to watch.
Sure, these may be the strongest categories to start with:

Beta rabbit mode has absolutely a game changer for me while continuing my quest in Zelda TOTK. Whenever I get stuck on a puzzle etc, I ask the R1 in beta rabbit mode and it gives me detailed instructions that gets me through. It’s so nice to just listen to the R1 giving me the details of what to do next while I continue to run along in the game!
So not being a hard core gamer, I’m sure others will have more to add on this but just to get started we can ask R1 for:
clues or to just give you the solution for puzzles or levels in adventure games like The Legend of Zelda.
different strategies to use when playing real time strategy games like Age of Empires or Polytopia.
In terms of use cases it would be great if we could make it clear why the R1 is the go to device for the posted use case. In my case it competes with ChatGPT, Perplexity and dedicated apps on my phone. A $200 device can’t be expected to compete with a >$1000 phone when it comes to games or image processing. And using a keyboard, a large screen and the ability to upload attachments as context as you can do with a traditional LLM is hard to compete with for research tasks given the limitations of voice interaction and a small screen.
So here goes: unlike an app on my phone or a traditional LLM, I can grab my R1 and start the meeting assistant to record and summarize any meeting I enter. I don’t have to use a dedicated paid app on my phone to do that and can start the meeting assistant in seconds.
Tbh, this is currently the only use case that I have for the R1 that fits the criterium that it is better suited to use than other devices / services. I believe however that there is a dormant potential in leveraging the device as a truly personal companion (not just an assistant).
