Why doesn’t R1 connect to home wifi? I have Starlink. Tried 50+ times. It sees it and recognises it but just won’t connect. Won’t connect to hotspot either.
Some people have found that the r1 can have problems connection to WiFi if the password isn’t letters and numbers only. So also found the iPhone hotspots seem to be a little flaky with the r1. But not as much with android phones. The problem with WiFi can also be down the the security of the router some router have the latest security and not wpa2 etc some older device or devices that have older tech that’s not been updated can’t connect to the newer WiFi security so people have to drop the security down. It depends on how new the router and the device connecting to it plus firmware on device are and what security protocols they are both using. Some new routers use wpa3 etc. if that’s on, try wpa2. See if that helps. Or if it’s got legacy mode in the router see that can be activated.
I have heard a lot of issues with WiFi at the moment. I purchased a $10 prepaid sim and I have had zero issues since using it.
That being said, I have been connected to my home WiFi and also had no issues.
