Not a reference for the US, but I am happy to report Tuenti is an excellent solution for Rabbit in Argentina. Any low cost data provider (mobile virtual network operator (MVNO)) should be fine!

Got it. Thanks for the reply

I have purchased a Mint Mobile sim and a Tello and they both seem to work fine. Did notice that the Mint Mobile disconnected a few times but reconnected shortly after. I have not noticed that with Tello.

I just upped my plan at T-mobile to get one. It was $10 for the card, and my plan went up $20/mo, but I now have unlimited data on both phone and the sim and get Netflix and Apple TV for free. And it works great so far. Gave it new life. I couldn’t get it to connect to my iphone hotspot before, so I was tethered to my home wifi. Using it a lot more now.

I found same soon as sim was in I was singing the r1 more and carrying it more without my phone

It would all depend on your carrier & who has the best service in your area.

My carrier is Google Fi, & i have one of their data-only SIM’s in my rabbit.

It’s a case of how Much data do you think your going to need I opted for 5GB month to see what it was like but I suspect as they improve the r1 i will up the data limit. It’s an experimental time.
I have had the r1 since 24th June and had 5GB data I have used it on the sim in the r1 everyday sometimes a lot and so far with photos and enquiry’s etc just general use all over the valley I have 4.96GB left of 5GB.

I think that will be more than enough. I don’t heavily use mine off data, but in the last 30 days or so I’ve used 0.06 GB.

That could be that if your going from uk to Italy you may have to go to Lebara website and your account and turn on something to allow it to work or even contact them ask for it to be allowed to work. I could be something as simple as turning on roaming. But I would check before hand.
If you just want to use a sim in Italy someone on the list or in the messages below may have the solution. If you find one put it on here.
