UK Data Sim - 3GB every month until April 2027 for £34.99 that WORKS on the r1

Hi folks,

I’ve treated my UK Rabbit to the following UK Data sim for £35 that tops up automatically with 3GB every month until April 2027. (there’s a £49.99 option with 25GB every month until Feb 2027 also).

I can confirm that this works fine:

P.S. I use similar cards from that company for my LTE tablet etc. all good. The only thing that doesn’t work afaik is international roaming…

Cheers,
M

Cheers for the info, that’s a good deal :+1: I thought Smarty was good at £4.50 2GB at least it’s a rolling monthly contract.
May cancel and check out this deal :+1:

With pleasure - I’ve had a few of those cards now (one for my secondary data mobile and the other for my tablet and all good / working and no issues).

Also, note that they come already fully activated so you don’t need to sign up with the account of the mobile network provider etc - it’s proper plug’n’play!

Waiting for mine [2nd Batch] to arrive in the UK. This looks like a perfect option.

Just ordered the 25gb one and itll land tomorrow. Thanks for the tip! I was going to get another Smarty sim, you’ve saved me a lot of money.

Cool, @Scr81

would you be kind enough to share with us your findings when it’s up and running?

It was so easy to install. take it out the packaging, put it in the r1. Didnt even need those little annoying pins thanks to the r1 design. Connected fine, and getting the 25gb just future proofed it for me. Tomorrow I’m away from home for the night, so that’ll be a bigger test. If i come back ranting and raving you’ll know it didnt go well.

Brilliant, thanks for the update. Well if I exceed my 2gb allowance this will be my route, cheap as chips lol
Although 25gb seems a little overkill  saying that I suppose if your a frequent player of Spotify or Apple Music you’ll soon rack up the data usage

It was more for what I might need it for by 2026. The R1 might be in a drawer and the sim might be in something else, or the r1 will have a lot more capabilities…
Mainly I have a mifi and having 25gb means I can use my laptop, r1 and phone with that sim if need be. And at the price I couldnt resist!

And it did ok. Only issues were general coverage, so very happy that it can just be in the r1 and i dont have to faff with hotspots etc.

Hi folks,

I’ve just checked USwitch website, just now, and it came up with this;

Thats 60GB 5G(per month) for £10/month, Sim only. Have a look.

I have three sims on the go already, unsure if I really want to add another, using hotspot from my phone at the moment.

Having fun though.

Prime Deal on Amazon on this card atm:

“Three 25GB Data SIM - 5G Preloaded Every Month from now until 8th February 2027” for £29.99 (was £49.99) !!!

(just ordered one as I know they work with the R1)

Do I get this right? You get a sim preloaded with X gb and every month you get X gb on top until month xy? But you pay only once (29,99 or 49,99 or whatever)?

I don’t think we have this kind of deals in Germany

You can use a standard voice sim that give you X mins and txt plus X amount of data. I have one £5 for 5GB month unlimited txt and voice calls. Some of the uk networks as slowly removing the data sims due to they are not making much money. The sim I use is month to month and no contract so I can cancel it anytime.
