I am Canadian, thus i have a Canadian premium account with Spotify.
I have found a way to prevent my account from beeing disabled for suspiscious activites. As i am connecting usually from my phone, it is suspicious that another connection is happening from the States, a 1000 of miles away. By security, Spotify reacts by resseting my password to prevent fraud.
After talking with their support, all you have to do is to connect your R1, make it play music for around 30 minutes while you control the playlist from a local computer or phone.
By having multiple interactions between your phone, laptop and the R1 for a while, Spotifiy sees that as a normal behavior and will not trigger the suspicious mode.
It as worked for the last 48 hours, crossing my fingers!
