I am really excited about this new “Creations” systemI like it a lot! I would love to experiment a bit more, but in my humble opinion, the prices feel a bit steep. Paying 30 dollars for just 3 tasks seems too much, and the subscription almost feels like a car payment, especially since it’s monthly. It would be interesting to explore more subscription models—something like bronze, silver, gold, platinum tiers, where those who want more pay more. Personally, I would gladly pay around $20 a month rather than giving it to ChatGPT with just ten or fifteen tasks per month. Just a thought!
I totally agree! I’d love to pay for a subscription, especially if it helps with Rabbit’s finances. And a subscription for R1 as an optional add-on for more device exclusives would be fantastic! @simon @jesse
We’d love to be able to bring the price down on the monthly/annual subs, but our margins are already quite thin compared to the cost of running the service right now.
It’s worth noting that most AI companies are operating at a loss to gain market share, and we’d rather be responsible right now, so that when we do raise more money, we can put it towards innovation rather than simply subsidizing the costs and giving users false expectations of what these tools actually cost to run.
This means that eventually, a lot of these companies will need to raise their prices.
We do think there are likely some changes in the market that will let us bring them down somewhat in the future, but we’ll have to see how that plays out.
so you guys would not be interested in charging an original subscription for the R1 not intern just as a way to make passive income so you can create more innovation just in a more stable way?@simon
