Painful article on Tom's Guide 😢

The article has the following header: “What’s next for Rabbit? Employees say they haven’t been paid for months while company teases new AI hardware”

Ouch! Is this even true or partially true? If not, this is slander and seriously damaging to rabbit’s reputation.

there’s an official response from rabbit/Jesse in the article. if it was ‘slander‘ then he would have denied it.

really awful for the employees including @simon .

it’ll be interesting to see if they will change their business model going forward, or if accessing the Indian market will truly be enough.

Yes, I didn’t realize the article continued below the advert…

Wishing Jesse and the team good luck as they are finalizing a new funding round.

I as well wish the best luck to the team. It is amazing to see them continuing to do such great work. Even a subscription for extra perks for the r1 if that could help would be great.

Which extra perks do you mean? Intern & Creations already has an extra cost/subscription.

I would happily pay for a non-intern subscription. Not to use the r1, but for extra stuff. Some examples:

  1. Remove rabbit watermark from magic photos.
  2. Conversation mode - enter a chat mode where the button doesn’t have to be pressed to talk to r1. Like a phone call instead of a walkie talkie interaction.
  3. Regular internal updates - a simple weekly newsletter delivered to my inbox informing me of progress that’s being made with the company, challenges that are being encountered, etc.
  4. Priority support - I’ve never had to reach out to support but have read other posts on the forum. If I ever need support, it would be nice to know that I had priority.

I love my r1 and want to support its growth. If a subscription helps, count me in :man_raising_hand:. I imagine other people have stuff they would be willing to pay for that unlock a more powerful r1.

I agree whole heartedly with what you are saying and hope the team takes it under advisement.@simon

Interesting the r1 brought it up today and mentioned that they had got more money guaranteed so can pay the works and continue approx 10m investment the rest of the article gives you some insight into years coming about new hardware etc and new markets they are going into. Plus not to worry as the r1 will keep getting updates for some years to come.

https://www.rabbit.tech/newsroom/rabbit-raises-additional-10m is that a factual error? did it mean the 10 million investment that was 2 years ago before launch?

Yes. Wish it was now.
