The device connects to wifi and then it has to scan the QR, but it does not work; I even printed the QR in big size on a paper, but the scan fails. So it’s stuck there and I can do nothing at all.

I had the same issue. It took a while, but eventually I got it to read the QR on my phone. I enlarged it on the phone, and played around with different distances and brightness on my phone/the room I was in. And held very still at each distance.
As previously noted, I had the same issue. I held down the image on the site and downloaded it, then tried it at all inbetween sizes until it scanned. Really bad setup UI in my opinion, super unfortunate. Eventually worked.
Agreed. Tried displaying on my notebook, phone and scanning without any success. Printed it out on paper and initially did not work. Found out that lighting was important – propping it up and with a lamp shining on it did not work. I took it outside and laid it down on the ground and it finally worked! I wish there was maybe a grid line that displayed on the screen to indicate how small/large the QR code should be displayed and thus will have a higher chance of working. Easing new users’ hurdles in setting up their devices should have been one of the first things the devs should’ve fixed before shipping. If the QR doesn’t work, then at least provide some other forms of authentication/authorization so that their device isn’t SOL/neat looking paperweight out of the box!
Agreed. So frustrating to see that it’s even incapable of scanning the QR code yet. It’s 2024 for god’s sake and we can’t activate the device!
