Storytelling and recall

I asked rabbit to tell me a story with 2 characters, let’s say X and Y. I usually say “Tell me a 2-min episode about X and Y, based on the notes you have about The adventures of X and Y.”

If I say this right after an episode it just invented, as a direct follow up question, it successfully takes into account the events of the previous one and writes a sequel. Otherwise I always have to remind it of how the characters look, who they are, what their relationship is, etc.

I also have a third, dead character, and asked flashbacks with it. It was a direct follow up, so it worked. But later on it had forgotten who that third one was. Each time I’ve asked “Make sure to add this to the archives you’re compiling of the notes on The Adventures of X and Y.” It does so (more or less), sometimes it only compiles summaries which is a bit annoying but ok.

But if I ask out of the blue to recall the adventures of X and Y from the notes and create a new episode, it asks me to explain who the characters are, what there relationship is, etc. Or it tells me it’s unable to look into the rabbit hole for specific details. If I remind it of details, saying “You can find these in the notes, here are some keywords”, like “Y has a yellow eye and a green eye, and X is big and chunky” it only repeats what I said but doesn’t actually look for more and doesn’t build up on top of what it should already know.

I know this is asking a lot from Rabbit, it clearly pushes the recall and building information capabilities it’s supposed to have. But this also fails with basic things I told it, like the name of one of my close ones, or my cat, etc.
