Would be nice if we could send and receive text messages from the device since many of us have a line on it. “Tell Jesse I’m running late,” and a message is sent on our behalf. Of course it would need our contacts somehow. Maybe Bluetooth to our smart phones?

Without a doubt, the team will implement this in the future. I feel like it’s one of the more requested features. It’s also a necessity for getting away from our current mobile devices.
That being said, I don’t think it will remove us from our phones entirely but rather supplement it. I could see myself leaving home with nothing but my R1 once these features are added

sms / text would be a nice add-on as for my son he wants a rabbit instead of a phone to send messages when leaving school etc to say my mobile

I was just about to suggest this, and think that having Messaging capabilities could be amazing for the R1. Even if we did not get a complete messaging solution it would be amazing to be able to forward MJ or Magic Cam Photos to your phone via text to share them. Or to be able to just share them directly from the rabbit.
