rabbitOS release notes

When I read auto screen …, I at first thought that you managed to implement auto brightness. But I guess there is no sensor for that. Still nice to see continuous improvements coming regularly!

Same here! I was also hoping that there is an AI-assisted auto-brightness adjustment feature based to the time of day and on our current location relative to the position of the Sun

Foot Note: Amazingly the below prompt works when I tried asking it to set the brightness according to my environment/place.

Here are some examples:

Q: I’m in a room. Set the brightness for me.
R1: The brightness is set to 50%

Q: I’m outside. Set the brightness for me.
R1: The brightness is set to 100%

Q: I’m about to go to bed. Set the brightness for me.
R1: The brightness is set to 0%

@simon sorry if mentioned recently, but I lost a bit.

Whats the update frequency currently?

I was under the assumption that there should have been one yesterday.

We don’t have a set cadence, although most of the time, we’ll have something every couple of this weeks.

In this instance, we’re working on a big update for next week.

Cool promo vid i saw on Rabbits linkedin. And nice to be able to change it with voice. Will it be verbatim copy of what you say or does it polish it a bit? Does someone know or should i test it?

it would be better if users could enable oder disable the gallery by promt (voice).

This isn’t really within our control. We don’t make an LLM, we partner with existing LLMs like OpenAI and Claude, which means the content adheres to their guardrails.

I think the only way through this is that hopefully we can offer more LLM choice in the future. My understanding is that Grok is a bit more flexible in this regard.

getting back to it after a while and excited for this update!

Photo Gallery ist really good, well done folks! It is fast, has all what it needs. Thank you for this!

I like it too but there are definitely some UX things that could be improved! I would love an easier way to access it aswell (Would actually like the easy acess that is used for the arcade) or going to the gallery after taking photos directly.

And since we can make/save pictures offline it would be nice not to have to use the tts to access the gallery
