Rabbit r1 to do WISH LIST

My r1 is officially down. Hope the next OTA fix things, done multiple reset with now luck. I just cannot get it online anymore.

here’s my wish list.

  1. Weather Preferences: Provide temperature in Celsius for UK users and remember the preference.
    2. Spreadsheet Generation: Improve consistency in generating and emailing spreadsheets from photos.
    3. Spotify Connection: Fix the security issues that cause Spotify to close the connection.
    4. Rabbit Hole Interface: Enhance the user interface for the Rabbit Hole hub, ensuring the connection process to services like Spotify and Apple Music looks more secure and professional.
    5. AI Voice Selection: Enable the selection of AI voices, accents, and regional voices, potentially linking with Level Labs.
    6. Unit of Measurement: Allow the choice between imperial and metric units or automatically detect the user’s location and set the units accordingly.

    1. Language Model Choice: Allow users to choose from different language models like GPT-4, Perplexity, and others.
    2. Memory Function: Enable the device to remember previous user requests.
    3. Meeting Summary Email: Allow the device to email meeting summaries to the user upon request.
    4. Reminders and Timers: Enable the ability to set reminders and timers. Send email notifications or integrate with Gmail/Outlook calendars.

When people start adding thing to the wish list you notice that the r1 would be coming closer to a tablet or a phone. With more and more things added when the idea was to use it in place of them and to give you more me time to go out and feel the grass. Other wise your back to square one with tech running your life.
Some things are a good idea. Some aren’t as they make it more like the things your trying to get away from. But all ideas are welcome.

Agreed - entertainment features should be limited to a singular minigame.
things should be done through voice primarily with little need to navigate menus other than settings.

My view is that the R1 is the “out on the field/working device” then the rabbit hole is for going over the days activities once your back at HQ. that’s when you can edit things link documents etc.

I agree though, that the link between them should be stronger, but that will come with rabbit hole V2

This device will be much more useful when it has:

  1. Calendar (e.g. Google Calendar) integration
  2. Text messaging (e.g. Google Voice) integration
  3. WiFi Calling perhaps
  4. Email sending capabilities (e.g. Gmail integration)
  5. Perplexity and/or ChatGPT integration and memory of prior requests
  6. WhatsApp integration (related to #2 & #3 above)
  7. Timers/Reminders
  8. Update button in Settings

I am not sure txt messages and WhatsApp messages are needed? It’s not my phone.

You need to engage the r1 to use Perplexity when you would like it to use Perplexity. Just ask something along the lines of “Using Perplexity can you search for XXX”.

Recalling information is quite easy as well, you just ask it to search your journal for the information you want to recall and then you can carry on a conversation from there.

Mileage may vary when it comes to Beta Rabbit at the moment.

I agree it is not a phone, but it would be nice to be able to send something via text or WhatsApp. For example, let’s say I search something or make a dinner reservation, it would be great to be able to send it to a contact, such as the person I am having dinner with, via text/WhatsApp.

Yes I understand ofcourse. It will be interesting to see how it develops over time, what it becomes
