OTA incoming thread: June 20th

Starting a thread off for people to start sharing their first impressions when the new OTA drops today. My experience has been that it happens somewhere around 4 pm ET but it varies. In any case I know we are all excited so lets discuss the changes as soon as we have them.

First impression is that the memory recall is amazing and is going to be so useful for me.

So far, it was a little weird with trying to take a note for me, Magic Camera ran out of juice. It came back and got a pic, dig how we have both now! I don’t know that display of it makes it real obvious, I had to look a moment. Then since was going to try more but Rabbit is unresponsive for my last queres. Smh

Great update this week! Kudos to the rabbit staff.
Note taking, adding to the note and recalling the whole note worked great.

Magic photo - at first I was disappointed that both the original and the magic photo weren’t there. But then I noticed when downloading you have the option to download either. Then I realized the option under the photo allowing you to switch to the other. Nice!

Would you mind sharing your prompts for adding to and recalling your todo list?

Hey Drew, Sure thing. The picture above is the recall. I asked “What’s on my todo list for tomorrow?” Below are my prompts for creating and adding to the list in order.
“Make a to do list for tomorrow, June 21st” It created a blank note and titled it June 21st to-do-list.

Next prompt - “Add to June 21st tot do list, take items for Amazon return, to UPS store”

Next prompt - “Add to June 21st tot do list, buy epoxy for windshield”. It returned this.

Lastly I tried asking it a few different ways to remove one of the items from the list, but I guess it can’t do that or I haven’t figured out the right prompt.

Thanks for your feed back, this update looks real juicy.
I was hoping I’d have the r1 in my hand this week, it’s been stuck at Hong Kong Airport the last 2 days. Just taken to the air this last hour UK, hopefully I should have some fun with this update.

OK… I’ve liked this little thing all along, but honestly, I didn’t use it much. Now… with the ability to do lists and recall, this is a game changer for me. Create a todo list, for example, and then ask later what is on my todo list today. It reads it out, and even better, it shows the list. While driving I hear something on the radio I want to remember, and save it to the rabbit hole. My memory was never good, and age hasn’t helped. Am now 67. This could really be a great tool for me.

Example when I asked what was on my to-do list today:
Your to-do list for today includes:

  1. Work on the bathroom.
  2. Do SVS learn courses.
  3. List an instrument on Craigslist.
  4. Practice your instrument.
  5. Make dinner. Tofu stir fry with Peanut Sauce.

Now… a reminder function would be superb! Next best item to also have… save to a calendar.

Great update, Rabbit.

(I use TELLO and a $6 a month plan should work. I currently pay ten, but don’t use that much data, so will cut back.)

Hi spaceaxe,
What prompt do you use to make your to do list? As you can see in my to do list above mine doesn’t number my items but just lists them in sentence format. I’d really like to see a list. Also once you’ve accomplished something on your list have you tried to delete something from it?

Thanks

I tried asking it to remove one and it just saved that request as a new journal entry. Not that useful! I think originally I asked it to do a to do list and said 1… then 2 and so on for each item. It came back with audio and the list printed on my screen. I tried another to do list and it didn’t show as a list on screen, though it listed each one out at a time.

Thanks for these. I’ve been playing with it and I think part of the trick is to make sure the list has a good name. I have a todo list, a shopping list, and a summer house checklist, and it seems to keep them straight pretty well. I had another a “midsummer todo list” and it started to recall items from both of the lists with “todo”. To be continued…
