My R1 will not charge up

Well I wanted to take the R1 on a holiday, thought it would be fun to capture some unique images around the city and forest as well as ask where things are but it went flat in the trip there and then would not charge up at all - so a useless exercise and could not do anything with it.

I get home after the trip and plug into my computer which is it’s regular charging location and it was connected for a few hours and nothing and had to press and hold the button and then get this icon and no charging at all and the wheel does not turn just static.

I wake up this morning and re-connect and still nothing.

Why can’t this just charge up normally like any other device…

Any ideas on fixes and solutions to this…

Oh dear. Can you please try a different charger first? Let me know if that works and if not I will escalate to a support ticket.

have tried multiple chargers with the lead that the device came with. But even at home connecting to the computer as it always does but nothing and disconnected multiple times, let it sit over night and connect again and nothing.

also a little hard when the device is not supplied with a charger, just a cable so I understand chargers can vary a little in output charge but is a weakness by the company sending without a charger

We don’t ship with either a lead or a power brick, so not sure where the lead came from that you’re using!

Either way, thanks for confirming - I am going to escalate this to a support ticket for you, so please keep an eye on your email.

was 10hours on the round yesterday and still recovering so my memory must be shot… sorry but not charging either way

in the past if it went flat, plug it in and then the rabbit logo would appear and start to charge. but this needs a 3-5 second push to force the screen shown above after 5 minutes and after 3 hours ??

heard from tech support and it comes down to charging must be 5v 1amp and my wall chargers for apple devices must be hovering a fraction under as they do not work nor does one outlet on my desktop but switched back to the original outlet of my computer and charges now. Maybe my R1 is borderline of what is required ??? but when I go on trips I need to find a dedicated device for charging.
