Magic voice not working?

It seems the magic voice feature isn’t working anymore. My R1 will not stay in character.

Noticed this too….sometimes speak with some spanish words ( italian language set!)….

Could you elaborate? I have not noticed any issues on production devices.

I put in a 1000 character prompt into the magic voice to get it to sound like V from the movie V for Vendetta. It worked great once, then slowly faded away. Every once in a while I would say “you’re not in character” and it would snap back to it. Then it just disappeared and when I said “you’re not in character” it gave me the furthest thing from my prompt. I tried rewriting the prompt and nothing changed.
To get it to work I put a simple “sound like this guy” sorta prompt in the magic voice, then the 1000 Character prompt in the memories. It seems to be working consistently now.
And the magic interface seemed to fade out too so I shut it off and haven’t messed with it yet.
So I guess it is working, just differently. Thanks for your inquiry.

What exactly is the magic voice supposed to do? I asked it to make its voice sound like some famous actors who have very distinctive accents (Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sean Connery) and in both instances it sounded almost the same as normal, except with an occasional word very lightly flavored in a bad parody of the requested voice. Like a bad actor attempting to do an accent they haven’t practiced. Is that the intended behavior? Or are there different ways of prompting it that give better results?

Ask an AI to write a 1000 character prompt to get your AI agent to sound like " ". Then tweak it accordingly. LLM’s are actors. That’s why they say you should give it a role to play as part of your prompt.

Yeah, you will not have great luck using a specific name of a famous person due to copyright guardrails. You have to get real descriptive without that.

I have successfully turned my Magic Voice into a 95% accurate Aerith from Final Fantasy 7 Remake.
