A couple questions/comments about the future of the magic camera feature.
We haven’t heard anything about new magcam filters for a while…?
What’s being done to address the magic camera running out? I’ve thought from the beginning we probably need to ration our usage. Maybe like 30 pics per person per day. (Notice it only seems to happen once or twice at a time though so maybe not that big an issue)
Can we please get an official response about a magic camera gallery, or anyway of viewing mag cam pics on r1? I go back and forth expecting the feature to be released every update, or thinking it’ll never come. Don’t know if it’s being worked on, or if you don’t want the feature at all, or if like there’s an exclusive deal with midjourney to be the only ai photo gen app on device…
I know it was interesting they said they would have weekly themes, then when in asked in Discord for new week they stated we’d stay at this one for a bit.
Excited to see what more comes, I hope its improved. Really stinks to try for city skylines to get nothing of resemblance back. I wish we could run it against the image it get it similar in look too.
I know I’ve mentioned it would be nice to view the pics on the device itself for sure, but generally they are pretty hesitant to talk about upcoming features or updates - I think there was some insinuation it was being considered though, so I hope it will happen.
And they did mention that due to everyone liking the pixel style, they’d probably stay on this one for a while. There was some discussion I think on if in the future we’d be able to choose any former filters in addition to the new as they’re added, maybe they’re working on that, but honestly who knows
