I began the setup of my r1 and got all the way to downloading the first OTA update. The r1 defaults to a, ‘no update’ message and stays on that screen. No download, no controls. The only way to break out of this is a hard reboot with the charger disconnected. I have tried multiple WiFi networks, from phone/computer hotspots to ‘regular’ networks. I have also tried using 2.4 and 5 GHz which to me has made no difference. I have also tried waiting to begin the update until the r1 is charged over 50%. Letting the battery fully drain has also not fixed this issue.
I have an email to the support team with this question floating in the void, but I’d rather try my luck here.
