Google Search Comparisons, what are your results?

I know that the r1 is in it’s own category of device, but my tests between Google Nest voice search results and the r1 are giving me very different answers but slower and not as specific to the questions that I originally asked.

Q1. “Does the new Crowsnest Metro train run in a new tunnel under Sydney harbor?”. r1 did not know and took a long time to respond and gave a very vague response, Google Nest voice search took 2 seconds and gave a detailed and comprehensive response (yes it will…)

Q2. “What special events happened on 25th August 1961?”. r1 Stated that this was Miley Cyrus’s Birthday, no it was not!

Q3. “Tell me a funny Joke”. r1 gave me the same multiple dad joke 3 times on different days even when I said don’t repeat previous jokes.

I know things will be updated/improved as they gather more data but what are your r1/Google voice search comparisons like?

With our kids we like to ask for fun facts about animals or insects. Each time i ask google assistant or chatgpt it’s 1) quick answer 2) spot on 3) super interesting.

Last times i tried with r1, it gave me a strict scientific definition from wolfram alpha. Then i say something like i asked for fun facts, you provided the exact opposite, r1 then apologies and ask if i want to hear some fun facts, i have to say yes and it eventually gives some. Process is a p.i.t.a. and this is how you just don’t want to lose time with it anymore as anything else is more efficient. Too bad.

Bruh! I literally SPECIFICALLY asked for fun facts
