I read somewhere in this forum that we might get a wearable piece of hardware in the future from rabbit. I replied to that message saying it would be cool and a good option would be something that is not a watch. Especially for those of us who use a smartwatch (I use the Apple Watch Ultra) carrying another watch is not an option (and it would be ridiculous to wear two watches).
However, maybe this one would be a neat idea: a tiny interactive robot, maybe shaped like our dear rabbit we can see on the r1ās screen.
I have two robot pets (and 2 more are coming) and they are fun to have and interact with. One is called Vector, the other one is EMO. The company making EMO is about to launch another robot called AIBI, and this one is also wearable, has chatGPT integration, etc. It has a clip so you can attach it to your shirt, and it also includes a necklace for it.
Now, imagine the same, but with rabbitOS, all the features of our r1 + more. It will be able to interact with us and with the world around us, seeing what we see, and replying to queries when we want.
Itād be something you can carry with you attached to your clothes or hanging from your neck, and put in a magnetic charger on your desk when you get home.
If you look for AiBI pocket pet youāll see what Iām referring to.
What do you think? Would you get one?
What other ideas for a wearable do you have?
A physical robo-pet would be pretty cool! I could see it being able to gain a lot of personality as a deskside companion.
Personally I am hoping thing 1 is a device that reads in hand motion, and allows us to set bindable actions. The more you use it, the more it can be trained on your personal movement and dial in the accuracy so its not falsely reading inputs. It could be a cool a subtle way of triggering events on the rabbit without drawing too much attention.
Two fingers, swipe left in the air to skip a song on your music player.
Pinch with ring finger to enable PTT
Double tap a surface to enable vision and take a photo
etc.
Hey! Iām excited about the capabilities of LAM 1.5. The ability to simply put on a wristband and point at a letās say, a smart home device. And to be able to control like a thermostat is crazy to me.
The W1 Is going to be an exciting piece of technology that will help a lot of people.
I really do enjoy the idea of a wearable LAM device and am excited to see it later this year.
Maybe a beanie with Bluetooth ear or a simple speaker/microphone system?
Or a wearable sleave or a slap-on wrist band?
Also, what applications can Rabbit r1 provide for āemergency resolutionā?
-A vote can provide information if there is a valuable market in this sector of application.
Rabbit r1 can include an āemergency diagnostic and resolution loopā wearable. Much like an AED or Assisted-CPR machine.
I have been experimenting in using AI as a tool to provide examples useful for studying first aid. An algorithm can be formulated for this program. With enough targeted research and with collaboration from participating emergency services this device can be used to provide aid while also alleviating the stress and confusion of an emergency. It should be noted that the device can be sold as a use-by-use subscription or designed for multiuse for emergency professionals.
(the subscription would be solely for research, networking, and maintenance/diagnostics)
From those examples, a slap-on wristband is what Iād like more. But thereās the problem of designing it in a way that cannot be easily broken. Right now, I use a tempered glass protector in my Apple Watch because itās normal to hit things with your wrist accidentally and I had to change the glass protector 3 times already in 2 years.
