Why we need local control over our journaling data

We surrender a vast array of personal information, which is then stored on a server whose longevity and usage remain shrouded in mystery. I aspire to a greater degree of control over the data we record, particularly the ability to download the entire journal and maintain it via a local application. This current opacity is regrettable, given that the R1 is an exceptional journaling tool. Trust should not preclude oversight; our data constitutes our true wealth.
