Teach Mode [Updates, Discussion & Feedback Thread]

Hi everyone - Welcome to the official Teach Mode updates and discussion thread. Please make new topics in the category if needed, but if not required, you can post general questions about Teach mode in here.

Much like the Release Notes thread, this is a living document, where this initial post will be updated over time.

  1. If you have an issue with a community lesson, please get in touch with our support directly here.
  2. If you have an issue with a personal lesson (ie, a lesson you have created yourself) here is what you need to do:

Post the URL of the lesson here in this thread, which you can find from the replay tab. This is totally safe to do, as nobody else can access your lesson from the URL - they will receive an error saying they don’t have access, but we can forward the URL to our engineers for investigation.

Be as descriptive as you can. Include your task description. If the issue was with replaying the lesson, note whether you were replaying from r1 or from rabbithole.

If the replay fails, be sure to try it 2 or 3 times before you share information here.

introducing teach mode - lessons already learned

September 20th, 2024:

Summary

we are thrilled to share that our alpha program for teach mode has begun!

over the last few weeks, we hand-picked a group of our most passionate, engaged and talented community members, and they now have access to a closed alpha for teach mode, making them the first people outside of the company to try it out.

although the program has only just started, they have collectively already taught dozens of lessons, and their feedback and experiences are being used to tighten up the experience, fix bugs, and polish Teach Mode ahead of a wider release later this year.

If you were in the first 200, you’ll now have access.

If all runs smoothly, it’ll be a fast follow for everyone else within the next week.

Will there be any feature for right click functions? Maybe this is a desktop feature, but if we could search a website for a said input and print to pdf the result, and save the pdf to a specified folder would be very useful

Same with screenshots - will there be any option to do quick-key functions or the ability to use the screenshot tool and save to a folder through teach mode?

thank you! i just got access.
literally saw the email when I left school, lol
feedback: it’s having a small controlling seizure issue and it’s confusing itself, and sometimes it’s just not accepting processing at all and immediately fails :weatherrabbit:

thanks for sharing! there’s a lot of people accessing it right now, so maybe give it a little time. and if keeps happening, let me know the details of the lesson (and ideally the lesson URL) so we can investigate.

Hi, I gained access to Teach Mode Beta yesterday and attempted to create a teaching process focused on adding events to a mail.com calendar. However, despite successfully logging in during the first step, the connection is lost when I try to validate and proceed to the next step. I’ve tried this three times, but it consistently logs me out, making it impossible to stay connected.
Thanks for looking into this!

GM folks, super exited to use the Teach Mode, but: I can’t login on Canva website cause the bot controller… there’s a way to bypass it? Thanks in advance.

good evening I created the macro with the teach mode but then when I go to run it on the rabbit r1 it tells me that it is not enabled for this setup. What should I do? can you enable me?
