Soft Reset Erases Instructions

Today I added some prompt instructions that seemed to be working well, but after needing to soft reset (5 button presses) they are no longer working. Am I doing something wrong or is that something that just happens?

The prompts were:
When giving the weather, only respond with the city name and not the state abbreviation.

&

When searching Yelp do not give the disclaimer about taking a long time to load or not being available in all regions.

There were some additional things it seemed not to remember either after the reset.

I too am perplexed by the fact that with the soft reset the instructions provided are completely deleted: among these the user’s name and the latest activities performed by the r1, such as playing with riddles. Perhaps the developers should clarify what is actually deleted with the soft reset, so that we users can take this into account.
