Smooth Scrolling

Any time rabbit provides a list of results that you are able to scroll through, instead of smooth scrolling, it feels so jittery. It’s way too easy to accidentally scroll all the way to the top when trying to carefully scroll up just a little bit. It would be nice to have a smooth, more fluid scrolling behavior instead of being segmented with little, awkward, predefined scroll distances that are way too easy to overshoot.
I think the dead zone for the scroll wheel might be contributing to that issue. It would be nice if it worked exactly like scrolling on a website so you could make tiny little adjustments while scrolling instead of leaping up/down whole pages.

Well, r1 is basically an AI assistant, companion, maybe there should be topics that r1 shouldn’t accompany anyone on.

Besides, I don’t think respect has really hurt anyone yet…

Funny, now I’ve fallen for it myself

I agree scrolling should be smoother. Why not activate the touch screen like in terminal mode, just for this reason? There have been a few improvement attempts on this subject, but it still remains. I thought it might be a limitation of the wheel itself.

I think the developers responsible at Rabbit shouldn’t make the touchscreen usable in these cases, because otherwise it would have an effect on people getting used to using r1 in general and so the scroll wheel would become less important over time and in the worst case with update after update, which would be a real shame. Unless, of course, there is a technical problem with the scroll wheel, e.g. with the accuracy of the hardware or something similar. In that case, it would of course be a completely different story. But of course I can’t say anything about that, I’m just guessing and that wouldn’t be helpful. On the other hand, it might be a good thing if those responsible at Rabbit simply left the decision to scroll using the touchscreen up to the users and provided an option for it in the settings. Either way, both would be good, but it would probably be best because the scroll wheel could simply work a little more precisely.

I agree that they don’t want to make the cool scroll wheel invalid, but they tried correcting it several times, and it’s still not smooth. I don’t understand it. I remember what another user said about the wheel: It scrolls okay when you look at something else. It might be with music album songs; I don’t remember.
