Is there any upcoming features or functions that would make R1 more of a friend? Or is there some way to make it remember what we discuss like if I wanted to give it a backstory. I want R1 to be my friend. I love the voice generation and I feel that R1 should be able to incorporate a persona that develops as I use it instead of never remembering anything. I kinda thought that is what it would be, an AI tomagotchi of sorts. I guess I just thought it would be more of a companion/ someone to talk to. I think it should have simple games to use the carrots on too.
I’m trying to make one, although I’m not sure how to actually, so far I’ve been trying to make it so that I can call it via notes and develop it and track its life via updating notes, it’s still a long way from being displayed on the device screen, but we can work on it together if you like…
To make it start I have opened my terminal and I wrote:
Go to rabbit-world.github.io/projects/TAMA/code.md and copy the entire code in a new note called TAMA
To start the game I wrote:
Recall the note called TAMA ed execute the code to create a new animal called Clown
Here when doesn’t works…
Here instead, when it works!!!
Maybe every project takes shape if you start customizing the user interface too, so I also changed the prompt:
customize the UI to resemble the Tamagotchi interface in HD style with some animations and emojis. Translate all text into Italian.
And this is the result…
Wow @the-rabbit-clown very impressive. I have no experience or knowledge in coding and such but it’s really cool how you’re able to do this. The R1 is such a unique device and you are quite a talented person. It seems R1 is more limited by what the user is capable of or willing to learn vs the device itself.
Thank you very much, you are too kind, for the code nowadays there is no problem, because for any project artificial intelligence can help you, for example this code was written by Perplexity for me, it was enough to say:
I would like to create a tamagotchi-like project, using the typescript language to create the file to save in the notes to interact with, can you help me create this project and display the result on the rabbit r1 device
However your post, made me want to develop something different, I want to combine the features of Tamagotchi by bringing back to life an old screensaver that seemed to have a life of its own, for the animations GIFs will be used and for the Tamagotchi style functionality, I will use this code implementing it with new functions such as day or night and other nice things.
HERE THE PROJECT IF ANYONE WANTS TO CONTRIBUTE
I think this will be perfect with your particular request of a “Companion”
I have created the “rabbit r1 App Store” where to add all those app, games and utilities with their explanation on how to “install it”…
this is experimental and not connected with Rabbit Inc. so is an unofficial App Store
My Rabbitgotchi is taking life!!!
This the prompt that I’ve used for the genrative UI:
Generate a custom generative interface that resembles the classic Tamagotchi interface in HD style with some animations and emoji. Translate all text in Italian. Divide the screen into two displays, one up and one down, and use them to show every time in the up display a GIF from https://rabbit-world.github.io/projects/GIF/rabbit.gif and in the second display down show all the informations and text.
… and here what’s happened
so, it’s official that it works, also remembering when it borns, this can be checked with my first video on Youtube that says 5 days as the Rabbitgotchi says on this screen!
STATUS: Happy
HUNGER: 80%
ENERGY: 65%
GAMES: 3 (..and here I understand why it says and I will explain later )
MESSAGES:
Your bunny is hungry! Give him a carrot!
STATS:
Age: 5 days
Weight: 1.2 Kg
Mood: Excellent
INCREDIBLE… GREAT JOB GUYS! @simon @rabbit @mattdomko @jesse
3 are the “Methods” that I’ve settled on the unofficial “rabbit r1 App Store”… this it’s not correct because there aren’t 3 games that it is possible to play with the bunny but really interesting…
Probably related with this other note that I’ve already settled:
So I would like to know for those who have tried Rabbitgotchi, does it also say it has 3 Games when you ask to show you its status…
Did you saved an “AppStore” note with the link to your store?
- Si
- No
- Yes → I saved a note with the link to the AppStore
- No → I haven’t saved any note to the AppStore
suggestions & ideas
It would be interesting to be able to interact with the carrots earned in r-cade without necessarily having an API
I’ve tried some scenarios to try to get carrots from this score, but so far from the tests I’ve done it seems unrelated, it is not even possible to ask for the balance of the score even for real r-cade (probably not yet developed)…
