Hi
Now the Rabbit speak 12 more language and when I scan a test with the Rabbit eye in foreign language, it make a summary of the text in my local language (french). I will be useful to have the complete text readed/translated, its also a part of the request for blind/visualy impaired people accessibility ( Accessibility options for r1 )and can be a good help for anyone traveling in foreign country.
R1 itself says that, for copyright reasons, it does not read entire texts aloud. I had a discussion with it yesterday: I wanted to have a public domain text read aloud. R1 confirmed that the text is in the public domain, but still refused to read it aloud. In some places, I would prefer a complete reading, but as a temporary solution, while legal questions are being discussed, I find the summary acceptable, as long as itâs as detailed as the one from Rabbit.
Hi
Thanks fot the clear answer about the legal problem indeed the summary is acceptable and usefull for blind, (rabbit is good with âwhat do I havein my handâ or tell me the title of a newspaper then tell me about this article. The only thing really missing is a accessibilty option in parameters
Yes, indeed, accessibility would still be great. And possibly not even that difficult to implement (Iâm speculating as a layperson, sorry if thatâs not correct). We need a small sound for turning on, for turning off, for âthinkingâ, a reading of the menu items you scroll through, and the headers of the submenus (especially important when entering the SIM card PIN and typing in the Wi-Fi setup). And everything of that should be turnable off in the menu.
Adjusting all the setting in parameters vocaly will be a nice update, some of the settings already do it,and more voice interaction with R1. It should be not so hard to implĂ©ment because some voice message dont nedd the AI, power on/off, update needed plug charger, camĂ©ra on/off etcâŠAs LAM,Teach, language are done, accessibility can have a place in the whitepaper (I just read here Sounds for requests - #2 by mattdomko its a work in progress )
