The rabbit has a decent amount of on board memory.
Can we use some of this for it to start collecting information about me based on my interactions with the rabbit and then provide me with more tailored responses.
Like if it knows my age and gender then it would give me better suggestions on what to do when I’m bored.
If it knows I like spicy food then it would give me better suggestions on where to eat.
If it knows I like to find a place where I can enjoy a beer with a view then it should prioritize those results.
I would also like to give it things like birthdays or other info that I’d like to be able to ask for later.
This could also be used for tracking progression of a task or a goal.
Like if I’m saving for something I can tell it periodically how much I’ve saved for that goal and it would keep track.
If I’m trying to lose weight or something then I can tell it my stats daily and it will track it and I could see that info later on a graph or I would be able to query it like how much weight have I lost in the last 10 days.
I believe the slow rollout of features on this thing is to ensure that when features of this capacity arrive, they help us in the best ways. Storing information like that could lead to potential security concerns without proper measures in place, especially when we are using virtual machines. I’d imagine the team is moving with our best interests in mind, and an improper rollout in technology could lead to misuse.
In general the AI space has needed to take a step back, and I see the rate we get access to the LaM right now as a good thing overall. We’re learning how to interact with a pretty new technology and we should be making sure it does the least amount of damage to society as possible.
Not everyone in the space is a bad actor, but people would 100% misuse LaM without some limitations.
Because of the limited functionality since launch, a lot of people sell their rabbit second hand. Therefore I was able to get one before my original was delivered yesterday). I did a lot of playing with it, but even with the last update in where was announced that the Rabbit could remember previous conversations. It isn’t able to remember anything from previous sessions. (other than my name and his own custom name).
I spend a lot of time explaining thet my wife was the Queen and the maker of the cheese souflé. But I have to tell it to the rabbit multiple times a day.
I don’t think storing previous information would effect the security of a potential LAM.
Adding to this, for security it would be nice if the Rabbit could recognize voices of family members/owners. Google and others do it.
