intern is very impressive.

I just started playing around with intern the other day. I am still learning all it’s capabilities and quirks but wow I am impressed so far. It can actually write complete and functional apps in one go. Sure they don’t always 100% have every feature I want and generally need some tweaking but to have the basic legwork of the overall project laid out in a functional manner at the beginning is helpful and then I can just go in and modify it to where I need it to be to finish it off or even use AI coding tools to complete it.

To this point if I asked similar things of other tools they would give me an idea how to write it and some code snippets but that is it. Or they would flat out say they couldn’t do that but they could help me organize the project to start with. This is the first tool for me where it goes and does it, gives me good code that is actually functional, and then I can take that code and build a full project from it.

Projects built so far in two days:

  1. health tracking app with charts
  2. Kanji learning game app
  3. advertisement and interactive page for my patreon project

I have lots of ideas I can’t wait to see where this Intern tool is going.

I agree. I’ve been playing around with it for a bit now and it makes fairly impressive web apps with ease. Sometimes little bits of the UI are off, but I’ve been impressed with how it can make full featured applications.

Totally agree with this too. Intern is so compelling that it made me wanted to employ it as my full-time employee

haha I am actually working on the prompt to have it write an application for work. I am not really telling anyone that but the one thing about it is you have to really have a good prompt because you sort of only have one shot.
