Connections suggestions thread?

Should there be a separate thread for connections suggestions?

My (current) top 4 would be:

  • Discord - so that our interactions here can be dictated via the R1
  • BBC Sounds
  • Amazon Music
  • YouTube

My perplexity account. They provided me a free year of Perplexity but the r1 does not seem to be able to connect.

NONE

We should NOT be asking for connections or for any apps to work with the rabbit r1 at the moment.

The whole purpose of this device is that WE can TEACH it to use any apps or websites that we would like and then be able to sell our “rabbit” on the store.

The more that people ask for specific apps or services the longer the community will have to wait to do whatever they want.

Just let them get on with the general fixes and teach mode and LAM

I personally would not want to waste the rabbit on watching youtube or listening to music or playing games - I have a phone for that, the rabbit is meant to be an assistant.

If there was no screen think of what you would want the rabbit to do.

Yes, but there aren’t any features in the r1 to support being an actual assistant (as in PDA). For example, no timers, calendar, alarms, todo lists. Although the note taking ability is pretty cool, but you have to go to the rabbithole to read your notes, instead of on the device (I think).

That doesn’t have anything to do with app connections for apps people want.

You are talking about features in the operating system (rabbit os app) so kind of agreeing with me.

If they had connected it to a Google account most of those would have been covered.

The device itself is running on AOSP so already has the capabilities. They just need to use them.

Again this is what they need to do is focus on the assistance parts and not random apps that people want to vote on.

I am wondering how I can teach my Rabbit to use ant app or website. That was more or less promised during its introduction. But besides the Rabbit Hole and a very limited amount of connections, I see no options in how to make my Rabbit smarter and more personalized.

Midjorney has become fully paid, there is not even a limited number of free generations. For those who use it rarely, it is not profitable to pay for a subscription.

I propose to connect Leonardo AI for these tasks

Unless I’m mistaken they’re working on it and ETA is the end of the year.

Rabbit is already using perplexity behnd scenes. Connection could be great if gave your r1 some background and context about you. Think is that perplexity capabilities are there even without connection. At least is my understanding.

I wrote a post about Journal, Journal, Journal… which is for now something thant needs to have big and fast improvement adding value around notes, todo list and session recorded and saved i rabbithole. I found some examples on youtube about how to manage grossery list that looks good. I hope this helps

Thanks - that makes a lot of sense.
In that case how do I start to teach it to be an assistant, for example schedule a meeting at 3pm next Thursday in my GCalendar or book (and pay for) a return train journey to Oxford a week on Friday (and put the outward and return journeys into my GCalendar)?
At the moment it is acting like a Magic 8 Ball, answering questions like the weather the exchange rates etc. but it is not actively ‘doing’ anything with the information.

To be more explicit Perplexity has a library of my entries. My journal for r1 has the same. It needs to all be in one place. Also not sure if it is using perplexity. R1 notes when it uses WG alpha. Never heard it state “I’m using ***”

Connection to Google search, massive repository of user knowledge

Being able to access my Tidal account would be pretty cool

The recent Suno connection is great (A recent wish list item)! I’ve already take an R1-generated Suno draft to completion—Very useful!

WISH LIST:
:diamonds: Youtube for music listening (My longtime subscription preference over Spotify or others)
:diamonds: Playground.com for image generation (both free and premium options, preferred by many, huge community)

Welcome to the community. Youtube and Discord seem like biggies.
