Auto shutdown toggle

I wonder if it would help to have the option to have auto shutdown after a period of ‘Non use’ in the settings with options to choose delays. This would save the battery.

Adding an auto-shutdown feature with customizable delays for non-use periods would be a great addition to Rabbit R1’s settings for several reasons:

Battery Efficiency:

  • Extended Battery Life: Automatically shutting down after a period of inactivity would conserve battery life, especially if you don’t always remember to switch it off manually.
  • Longer Usage Time: This would allow you to enjoy using Rabbit R1 for extended periods on a single charge.

Improved User Experience:

  • Convenience: An auto-shutdown feature eliminates the need to constantly turn the device on and off.
  • Customization: Offering a range of delay options allows users to personalize the feature based on their usage patterns. For instance, you could choose a shorter delay if you frequently put the device down for short periods, and a longer one for overnight breaks.

Potential Integration with Beta Rabbit:

  • Context-Aware Shutdown: Perhaps future updates could allow Beta Rabbit to learn your usage patterns and suggest optimal auto-shutdown delays.

Here are some additional considerations:

  • Low Battery Warning: Even with auto-shutdown, it’s important to maintain a low battery warning system to avoid losing work or missing important notifications before the device shuts down.
  • Graceful Shutdown: The device should initiate a graceful shutdown process that allows users to save their work or close apps before powering off completely.

Overall, an auto-shutdown feature with customizable delays would be a valuable addition to Rabbit R1, promoting battery efficiency, user convenience, and potentially even leveraging the power of Beta Rabbit for personalized optimization.
