A kid mode to switch

Wrote this on the discord server originally:

just witnessed my 4 old little dude on the R1 asking about planets… which is the coldest, how many moons does saturn have etc… This is amazing when you think about it. These kids and whats going to be available to them. If we see how much information we have available to use today, and how we used the interent to learn or find answers… now this… Well AI in general. But this little glowing orange box is like my kid has a 24 hour person to answer those ‘why?’ questions. I mean Ill try my best, but can’t out do perplexity.

  • would be cool to have a kid mode… for instance ‘tell me a story about a kid in space’ - then it uses midjourney, creates a couple slides and then proceeds to tell a picture story. - then you could save that in the rabbit hole, maybe print it, or send to a book print on demand. (I know this is doable in general, but putting in the kids hands would be cool)
  • Or a longer explanation in a kid way… The dinosaurs, Planets, Paw Patrol…create your own paw patrol character etc.

Anyway, sunday brain thoughts done. Have a good one

My kids are a little older and use AI as a private teacher to explain school topics. One that never gets impatient and uses simple language to explain complex concepts. I would have wanted that as a kid.

Your suggestion could merge with this one, creating a specifc profile for a child with instructions for the AI to address a young child.

If, however, the R1 is developed more and more as a personalised device it may be useful to be able to, in addition to interaction profiles, also have user profiles with a separate conversation history (to prevent Rabbit to eg, remind you of an upcoming Sesame street episode at work .
