using Apple Airpods w/ r1, DLAM and MacMiniM4

I’ve tried setting AirPods for use with DLAM and r1 but mic on Pods will not go thru.

I’ve set the Pods in DLAM and Chrome settings active and reload page but no go.

any suggs?

If your Airpods are connected in Chrome, can you google “Microphone test checker” and look for a generic website that tests microphones in Chrome, and see if it works there?

mic checker says the AirPods are working correctly. MacMiniM4 System Settings says both Input/Output settings for AirPod are correct. Chrome Brower Mic settings says AirPods are working correctly. DLAM settings report AirPods are being used.

However, I only receive output from DLAM but no input via the AirPod mic with all settings specifying Apple AirPods Pro.

Unfortunately we aren’t able to replicate this.

I just had a community member test with AirPods Pro 3 and he reported that it worked fine, using Chrome on a Mac.

I would recommend maybe resetting your mic permissions in Chrome and perhaps completely unpairing and deleting the stored Bluetooth connection to the AirPods and starting again.

After much back and forth to DLAM settings i finally got

I think I’ve solved the problems with the Apple AirPods Pro and the DLAM app. As a music producer, I had multiple audio devices connected to my Mac Mini M4 via USB cable. Apparently, sound system settings in the Apple operating system have a preference for USB-cabled audio devices versus Bluetooth audio. Once I disconnected the USB-cabled audio devices, I was then able to use the Apple AirPods Pro successfully with the DLAM app.
