To the volume control:
This could be realized by using the ‘scroll wheel’ to control the volume during running tasks or processes.

For reading displayed information etc…the user has still the option to touch and swipe over the display.

This option (volume control during tasks) should be (de)activated in the settings to increase the individualization of our rabbit r1.

Additional the following suggestion should be consider, too:

At times the user might not want to hear the r1 and just skim the response text but pressing the button after the response cancels everything and returns to the home screen. Ideally after the display of a response, pressing the PTT once would silence the rabbit r1 and a subsequent press would then return to the home screen.
