I have watched your video and your announcement and I am really really impressed.
Amazing work.
Personally I am also a big android fan, because I use many devices with this operating system, like my smartphone.
Your innovative way will open many new use cases and will help many rabbit users, because android IS one of the most installed operating systems in the mobile sector.
For this new key feature for our rabbits devices I have the following questions so far:
I know, this version is not released at the moment.
In which way we can create a connection between the rabbit r1 and our smartphone devices?
How can we activate the LAM playground (android) by using PTT? Is there a special key word, which we have to say to activate it?
Do you plan a beta test program? If so, I have, as an IT administrator, android user and rabbit r1 fan, big interest to support you with some tests.
Do you have a time stamp or milestone plan for the release?
Thank you in advance for your answer.
Also special thanks to you for the great work.
Thanks everyone. We will share more details soon. Right now this is the first phase, which is the research preview. All of your thoughts and suggestions will help feed into how we shape it into a shipped, productionized product. Lots of exciting things to come!
After watching the video, I am wondering. There, it was told and shown that an Android tablet was controlled. Before, I was expecting some virtual machine in the cloud. In general, depending on the use case, the virtual machine might be preferable (smartphone might be in standby or off).
Let’s see what will arrive.
Also, I am still wondering about use cases. I mean, from the things that were demonstrated, I think almost everything could be done on web? Maybe cookie persistence is less of a problem on Android, as well as bot detection. But apart from that, it is mostly reliability that is crucial and not there, yet with LAM playground.
Still, I am curious to hear other ideas for good use cases. Maybe with apps that are only available for phone, not on web.
“How cool are you guys!! I think it’s awesome that you’re tackling everything you announced with such determination. I have a very good feeling about the future with rabbit and lazy me, and I’m really looking forward to its remote control capabilities. Many greetings to the hairy dudes in the video. Good job!”
