Rabbit experience

Love seeing the R1 improve so much, and I hope Rabbit continues to innovate and experiment.

That said, there are still some design challenges that could enhance the overall experience:

  • No clear indicator when the LAM system is active.
  • No reliable way to start or stop a LAM session manually.
  • Tools like saving a note or searching a location activate too easily when unnecessary.
  • No feedback when a generative UI is being created.
  • No option to save multiple UI preferences.
  • No way to save multiple voice preferences
  • No feedback when a query fails, making it unclear what went wrong.
  • Volume control is difficult while Rabbit is speaking (it doesn’t seem to work yet).
  • Navigation is still a challenge, especially when moving between menus.
  • Features like the gallery, timers, and recorder shouldn’t rely solely on voice input. It should be possible to access them offline as well.
  • General fluidity could be improved—navigating the gallery, Rabbit outfits, and other menus sometimes feels laggy.

Some ideas for improvement:

  • The playful custom voice experience is amazing. Being able to mix voices and save different presets locally would add even more personality.
  • Generative UI is very cool, but it could benefit from more refined and standardized designs while keeping the playful customization.
  • More interactivity in generative UI would be very cool. Things like collapsible text or tabs could be very interesting
  • While avoiding attention-stealing is important, Rabbit could have more freedom to take action by itself based on triggers and timers, offering smart suggestions or playful notifications.
  • Leaning into audio even more would be great—it fits Rabbit’s personality better than Magic Cam.
  • Magic Cam could be redesigned to respect composition by using photos as direct guidance rather than just converting them into prompts. It would be much more useful if it allowed adding objects to existing photos instead of generating entirely new images.

Rabbit team keep it up!

Imagine having several agents ready, each with its own voice. Lika asking Chef Pierre for a recipe and r1 answers with a french accent, asking your Butler Alfred for details of your personal shedule and r1 answers with a british accent, ask your fitness coach for some exercises and r1 replies with the voice of Arnold Schwarzenegger :exploding_head:
