What happens with the perplexity subscription given to r1 users after the first year? Does it automatically renew on our credit card? If we cancel renewal, does perplexity pro continue to work on the r1 but not other devices? Thanks!

If You Cancel Renewal: If you choose not to renew the Perplexity Pro subscription after the free year, the advanced Pro features (like GPT-4 access, file uploads, and higher query limits) will no longer be available. However, basic Perplexity functionality integrated into the Rabbit R1 will continue to work without a subscription. This means you can still use Perplexity for live searches and general queries on the R1, but with limited capabilities compared to the Pro plan… mine will end on 25 january and I have already cancelled the renewal… but I have the solution already (if I can send you a private message I will suggest you too)…
It has nothing to do with anything on the r1. It was a completely separate thing and only was only for the browser/mobile experience with perplexity as a gift, with the r1 using it’s own version of things. Nothing at all with the r1 will change if you let it run out.
You’ll have to use perplexity from your phone or browser in the free version instead of pro moving forward if it cancels, but that’s the only change.
