I think the behavior of r1 in relation to using the PTT button should be different (even more intuitive)

I have a really good suggestion for improvement here, which would also not be difficult to implement and would improve usability and functionality considerably.

The use of the PTT button should be different (even more intuitive).

If the camera is used and I press the button briefly or I press it for a long time and still want to take a magic picture, then the use case in both cases is to take pictures.

In this use case the camera should remain active because there is a high probability that another picture will be taken.

But if I have an image analyzed and get a response from Rabbit to the image, then there is a very high probability that I will not want to take another photo afterwards, but will have at least one more question about the last image.

That is not possible at the moment because then a new image is simply taken and analyzed, which may or may not differ in terms of perspective etc., so the result, i.e. the answer, may be a bit meager.

Therefore, I think that in the second use case the camera should deactivate automatically and Rabbit should expect questions about the last picture.

After all, this is supposed to be the most intuitive computer, right? What do you think?

If there is only one button, then the button must be able to read the user’s thoughts.

Wow, that idea is even better than mine!

Certified idea haver :weatherrabbit:

In response to your post, I feel having the option to ask follow up questions about the image in an easier way is important. Perhaps after the image is taken, there is an option to take a new photo instead of it being the default.

I’m about to post a mock-up of your idea in the suggestions topic. I’ll credit you!

Thank you my friend.

The R1 does have a touch screen. It should be possible to add and button at the bottom of the display screen for you to click on and ask your question about the image you took

That would of course be a simple and “good” option, but I also understand why the rabbits don’t want to use this touchscreen.
If the developers start doing that, then it will be a disaster and in the end there will be buttons for everything, which I think would be a shame, so there is just a PTT button and a scroll wheel and the most intuitive controls possible, and that is much, much better, at least in my opinion.

There is nothing worse than software or/and hardware with countless buttons.

I’d hate to see the r1 become this

Great point!
That just gave me another idea. What if when you take the picture, it shows it to you after. Then you have the option to hold down the PTT button and ask you question and to get back to the camera you double click PTT as normal

also a great idea, but look: Image retention mode

I have to hit the r1 button twice to ask a question when it was sleeping, how hard to improve?

How funny, I had already thought about opening a topic about this, it would be best to open a separate topic about it. :joy: @Atreides

See here: https://forum.rabbitcommunity.tech/c/help-and-bug-reports/7 and open there a new topic please. @Atreides

All yours, will make more impact
