Exploring nature with the Rabbit r1

Hey everyone! I wanted to share a recent experience I had with the Rabbit r1 that turned out to be both fun and educational for my family. We decided to take a short hike through a nearby nature trail with my kids, and I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to test out the r1’s capabilities in the wild.

First of all we used the r1’s ability to identify plants and fungi. As we walked, we came across a bush with some berries. Using the r1, we identified which berries were safe and which ones to avoid.

The forest floor was dotted with various mushrooms and the r1’s features came in handy here as well. We snapped pictures of the mushrooms and identified them on the spot.

We also used the r1 to identify trees by taking pictures of their leaves :slightly_smiling_face:

One of the most fun aspects was using the r1’s magic camera to create pixel art images. We kind of used this as an analogue camera, only checking the shots later at home.

Overall, using the r1 provided a different experience compared to trying to achieve similar results on my phone. It was engaging, educational and a lot of fun!

I have added a few of the pictures below!

I like these. But it’s sad that it doesn’t something like control net to actually use the photo you took and enhance / re-interpret it like some sort of AI filter. It might be a reason why I don’t use magic cam, and if I need a generated image I use another service.

Maybe I would use it more if the images could be saved on the R1 and a more organized rabbithole.

Edit: A also saw image editing instructed by prompts recently. It could be a killer feature if we want the R1 to become something like the ‘AI camera’ … with a model that can edit images with a prompt you can say things like ‘give the left person glasses’ and it will edit your image acording to your prompt.

Haha; thanks! There’s also a bit of an “Advance Wars” character design in the images with them
