Expanded email function to send emails to another adresses

Hi @rabbit - team,
Hi community,

by testing the latest and useful feature ‘email function’ I also tested the prompt (terminal mode):

Send your result to the following email xxxxxx@xxxxxx.xx

After that I got the result, that my request has been executed and an email was send to the email-adress in my prompt.

After waiting for minutes no email arrived.
So I would like to adress the suggestion/idea to expand the email feature to send results to another email adresses.

With this expanded feature, more usecases could be generated for our rabbits r1.
For example to send emails to email adresses for your work/job etc..

that makes sense - hoping to hear from others who feel the same way so that this shoots to the top of the feature request list

FYI - there are a few related features being developed that I think will either supercharge this idea, or make it not needed anymore (depending on the order they ship in).

In your mind, what does managing those email addresses look like? Are you just going to type the email in every time with terminal mode? Do you have an address book in the rabbithole?

Hi @mattdomko ,

special thanks to you for your reply and support for this suggestion. :+1::folded_hands:

Would be very helpful for the terminal mode.
The ways you descriped (manual typing the email address, to have an address book) are perfect. Both ways are suitable.

Thank you again for your reply. :+1:

Hello @mattdomko ,
Hello @simon ,

I’d like to check on the status of my suggestion to expand the email function of the Rabbit R1 to allow sending emails to additional email addresses. I think, this function would be very helpful for daily usecases (private, job).

In my experience with the Rabbit R1, I created an app in the “Creations” section that simulates an email program and works very well (prompting or write an email text, contact book etc.).

The only issue is that I can only send an email to my own email address because the Rabbit R1 does not allow external email addresses for security reasons, as I’ve learned in several prompts and discussions with my R1.

Hello @mattdomko ,
Hello @rabbit - team,

I would like to share a suggestion following up on my previous idea and introduce an app I created for the Rabbit Air A1 under ‘Creations’.

The app is an email program that already works very well. However, as mentioned in earlier posts, there is still an issue: no matter what recipient address I enter, the Rabbit R1 always sends emails only to my own personal email address, the one stored in the rabbit-hole.

My suggestion is that the function can be expanded in a new update, so that, for example, it becomes possible to send emails to external addresses—not just to the internal one associated with the device.

It would be great if this could be considered for the next update, as it would allow more flexibility in how emails are sent using the device and apps. Very helpful for daily usecases and for business.

Thank you in advance.

The app is under development.
