Calendar for the r1

Google has a calendar, Proton has a calendar, could r1 have a calendar and write reminders to it? Should be a nice help

Hi @Emaso ,

good idea, thank you for sharing it.
The goal of our rabbits r1 is to be a personal assistant. So reminders and a calendar are useful elements for it.

At the moment you can realize it by using the LAM playground like (example)

“Go to Google calendar and create a new date on xxx with the title xxx. The time period should be xxx to xxx.”

Maybe this or like something else could help here so far.:slightly_smiling_face:

Thanks a lot. But you know, there are two kind of r1 users , the young and new that like both: computers and personal assistants and the others like me that after working for 40 years with computers like to see them Miles away
. I only want to use r1 and any other purposes I like to know but that’s all. Any way I appreciate your advise

I am looking from a position where I have my own task set, plus university/work calendars are submitted in the form to add to Google Calendar. You can’t work against the general trend

I am not against Google Calendar and I use It but not for everything. I use protonmail for certain emails,Google Gmail for others ,protonvpn for my VPN and proton calendar for my private specific events and I believe that Rabbit calendar It IS not far way from today

Hi @Emaso ,

thank you for your reply.:+1:
I can understand you.

At the moment the rabbit can and should combine some elements, which are further given, like Google calendar etc.

Which LAM playground, we can combine many daily tasks in my point of view.

Now the beta program of the teach-mode is opened (for signing):
:information_source: Teach Mode - Beta Update!

With the teach-mode we can program and define the tasks exactly, you mentioned here, in my point of view.

Like a programmed task to create a calendar entry in the teach-mode. Information about the teach-mode can be found here:
https://www.rabbit.tech/teachmode

So I think the implementation of your request could be solved with the teach-mode.
Also a good overview about all calendars are keeping up, because of the LAM playground or the teach-mode with programmed tasks, we do not need an extra calendar.

Thanks. Maybe you are right
It is an early suggestion only and maybe will not be neccessary. We will see

You can do some tasks with LAM, but calendar is on a different level - you need to trigger some things, like the reminders

I tried to do it on the playground and it wouldn’t get correctly something as simple as “tell me my next scheduled event for today”. It kept being obsessed with an event of the previous day. Different prompts and refreshing didn’t work for me in this specific use case ):

I think we’ll need one, to be honest.

The version of reminders we shipped has limitations because of this exact reason - since we don’t have a native calendar, we could only tie it to the existing alarms system. So that’s why you can only do reminders for up to a week ahead.
