What is your favorite dining experience?

Hi everyone,

One thing I really love to do when I travel is to try new foods and restaurants. My favorite dining experience was when I went to a cool jazz lounge/restaurant called nocturne in Denver, CO. The food lived up to the music in its creativity— It was wonderful.

What is your favorite dining experience? Or what is the best meal you’ve ever had?

There’s a similar place in Bel Air, owned by music legend Herb Alpert, and I’ve seen some of my favorite acts there. The only downside is, I think the food is a little overpriced for what it is, but it’s a great experience for sure.

I loved the Japanese subway markets! they were super cool and you could always find some (super well-packaged) treats! tho overall I’d say Japan has a great dining experience due to the diligence and OCD-level plating.

to be specific - probably one of the small maybe 6-person sushi bars - those have a super intimate and crisp vibe.

I really want to go to Japan soon, which cities did you go to? There’s a ton of places I want to go, but if I make a two week trip, then I don’t want to try and do too much.

I’ve been a couple of times - visited Kyoto, Tokyo, Hokkaido and perhaps a couple of others (I went a long time ago with my family so my memory is a bit vague). I think one whole trip was just Tokyo alone!

Regardless of what you plan, you’ll definitely find something cool on every corner no matter the city you visit (tokyo especially), so you’ll def start planning your next trip back as soon as you’re on your way home!

(I wonna go back so bad)

I will say another great dining experience more local to me is a place called oaks inn. It’s an Italian spot that’s been around for a real long time. You know it’s authentic because you walk up a set of stairs to the second floor to get to the restaurant. Let me explain: Local legend has it that oaks inn was a spot where the local Italian mob used to hang out a lot. They had the restaurant set on the second floor to stay out of range of drive-by shootings!

The food is delicious, authentic, homemade everything, and heavy pours on the drinks. Amazing.
