# USB-C audio dongle doesn't behave consistently

When I connect my Apple USB-C dongle to the r1, my headphones work normally…
… As long as I’m just asking it questions. When I play Spotify, it decided to completely ignore the headphones, and plays directly from the speakers.
Someone recommended plugging in the dongle AFTER starting the music, but that did not work either.

The headphones work fine for queries. I’m using the 7Z Zero 2 IEMs.

Actually I’m BSing. I hadn’t tried it since last OTA. This week’s actually fixed this issue.

so both Spotify audio and query responses are coming through your headphones?

Yeah the issue has actually been fixed 100% in the latest OTA.
