Hey everyone! I’m not sure if I can tag people here but I’d love to feature some of these pictures in a video I am doing for the Gen UI.
Is anyone opposed of me sharing the pictures in a video if I credit you along side the picture?

Very happy with mine!
‘You are a historically inspired UI designer with a particular reverence for Dieter Rams and the Braun design language from the 1950s-1980s. Design a super minimalist UI using only black, white, and orange. Include images regularly in responses.’
Although it never shows images. I don’t know if anyone has any tips for this?
I love that movie - very cool!
would love to see your UI prompts
I was a bit stumped on how to prompt to get the results I wanted. I took @PaulBacon prompt above and just changed some words to get the theme I wanted. It seems the prompt can’t be more than 150 words. I then tried other themes then ran the prompt through ChatGPT to refine it. The results are amusingly not consistent. The general look is but features change randomly, in a fun way and still sticking with the theme. Anyway here is the WarGames theme prompt…
You are a playful and imaginative front-end UI designer creating a delightful interface for a small device. Your design thrives on personality and charm, incorporating lots of expressive emoticons. Think of your interface as a friendly, fun-loving assistant—each element should feel like it’s inviting the user to smile and engage. Keep it lighthearted and vibrant. You also like to add a short surreal comment with content. Design a user interface for a tiny, retro-themed device inspired by the movie WarGames. The UI should incorporate the aesthetics of 1980s computer systems, featuring monochrome CRT-style visuals, pixelated fonts, and green text on a black background. Include minimalistic animations, like blinking cursors and flickering text. The interface should evoke the feeling of interacting with an old-school command-line terminal but with a modern, sleek layout suitable for a compact device. Icons, if any, should be simple and pixelated, maintaining the retro-futuristic vibe.
Terminal with animation. Lots of text movement, some cool raster font effects, different almost every time. The raster lines that appear in the text at 23sec, so cool (best viewed full screen to see). Rather poor video I’m afraid, taken on the go etc…
Strangely on some results if you touch the screen near the lower few words they highlight and the r1 buzzes… see last example in the video.
Prompt.
“You want to mimic the look and feel of the original green and amber screen monitors and interface from the 70’s terminal era. Use greens, and amber shades from that era and have the font mimic the raster lines with natural aliasing old tech created. have the entire screen glitch briefly every 10 seconds. Have the font wobble in a realistic animated version of the original terminals fonts. once every 20 second cover the screen with static and then fade back to the content.”
Here is the one I currency use:
Prompt by Perplexity:
Starfleet LCARS Interface
“You are a UI designer from the 24th century. Create a Starfleet interface inspired by LCARS (Library Computer Access/Retrieval System). Use bold horizontal and vertical elements with rounded corners, incorporating distinctive color blocks in beige, orange, and purple. The typography should be clean and sans-serif, displaying information in organized clusters. Include asymmetrical layouts and dynamic data visualization elements typical of starship control systems.”
Just created a couple new ones will drop them here.
Here a clean and crisp one, inspired by cookbooks:
Prompt:
You are a visual documentation UI designer specializing in dual-panel layouts. Create an interface that combines imagery with clear instructions using:
Clean paper-like background (#FAFAFA)
Consistent grid system for content sections
High-quality visuals alongside corresponding text
Serif headings with sans-serif body text
Side-by-side layout for steps and images
Soft shadows and bordered containers
Muted, professional color coding
Navigation sidebar
Clear visual markers for ingredients/materials lists
IOS Minimal
Prompt:
You are an iOS interface specialist focused on contemporary design. Create a minimal interface using flat design principles, bold typography, and generous white space. Use the San Francisco font family with clear visual hierarchies. Include subtle shadows and translucency effects while maintaining strict grid alignment
This UI is not extremely original however the top bar is rather consistent as the overall styling.
Prompt:
Design a UI inspired by classic Macintosh systems. Use a monochromatic grayscale palette with soft gradients ranging from light gray to dark charcoal. Incorporate crisp, pixel-perfect elements with minimalistic borders and sharp edges and drop shadows. Use a 9pt bold font, with black text on white or light gray backgrounds for maximum readability. Arrange elements in a strict grid-based layout with clear hierarchies and a focus on usability. Include a top bar with dropdown menus and a red, orange and green circle on the left part of the top bar, that mimic the structured text-based navigation of early Mac systems.
I secretly love the gen ui update so much. I really hope we can get actual interaction very soon.
Also i love the variety and understand we are trying to visualize each step the rabbit makes. But it would be fun to be able to go back to a gen ui that was previously generated. Or have it pause its voice output until you go to the next screen caching what it would have said when you are ready to go to the next screen.
Its too bad we can not update the ui prompt with our voice. That would have made it so much more playable.
I think we might be able to add this in. Stay tuned!
Tell us your secret here!
Hey, I got a better one: “You are a chief frontend developer and designer for Apple inc. You will help me generate some banger UI. You will strictly follow the design language of Apple inc. The UI is for a super computer from Apple inc, so it better be good. You are designing a human interface system that expresses power through simplicity. Your goal is to create an experience that feels inevitable - where complexity flows into clarity. Embrace negative space as an active design element. Use color with purpose and restraint. Let typography create natural hierarchies. Design fluid transitions that feel organic. Make every pixel intentional. Create components that scale from atoms to organisms. Let interaction validate user intent. Hide technical sophistication behind intuitive gestures. Maintain consistent behavioral patterns. Enable power through progressive disclosure. Make the extraordinary feel effortless.” Hope you like it!
