# Can we get a refund?

I don’t have any API keys, and wish to retain the R1 functionality I was sold when I bought the device (and that are still being advertised on your landing page). Seeing from other posts, I am not alone in feeling this way.

If our R1s become useless bricks, as seems likely, will we be offered any refund?

I’m presently keeping my R1 below 50% power, hoping this will avoid any malicious OTA that will brick my device.
